Knowing Us - Our Global Mining Group has a vast toolbox of products, services, personnel, expertise, and reporting to help a mining operation reduce their overall cost while maximizing production safely.
Sharing Knowledge - We consider education as the first steps in safety, service, and an effective tire management program.
Providing Services - The costs of large earthmover tires usually fall into the top five procurement expenses for a mining operation. Servicing these tires is more important than buying the tires.
Selecting Products - Tires come in a variety of tread patterns, compounds, sizes, and manufacturers. We can help you to understand what tire would perform the best at your site and for your needs.

Environmental Tire Services

Tires are generally used and then placed in landfills. There are several alternatives to reduce the environmental impact of tires.

Reduce – The best way to help the environment is to use fewer tires. We can accomplish this by maximizing the amount of tread used. This can be done through a tire management program and using high quality tires.

Reuse – The next best option is to repair and retread tires. The tread consists of approximately 40% of all of the rubber in a tire. That leaves 60% remaining after the tread is used. Retreading will reuse the casing and add new life through a new tread face. This process not only uses less rubber for a “New” tire, it also costs less. For more information about Retreading click here. Repairing a tire also enables it to be used longer. For more information about Repairing click here.

Recycling – A tire is recycled when it is used in the creation of new products. Tires can be used whole, cut up into parts or shredded. Tires can be found in a wide variety of new products: water tanks, rubber mats, asphalt road base, playground cover and equipment, running tracks, sports fields, golf courses, floor tiles, pavers, concrete additive, roofing products, landscaping products, molded rubber products, and soil additive.

TDF (Tire Derived Fuel) – Using tires as fuel is not recycling. TDF is a beneficial use of scrap tires as opposed to placing them in landfills, due to their energy content which equals oil and 25% more than coal. Facts about TDF:

• A BTU value of 12,000 to 16,000 per pound.
• Lower NO and NO2 emissions than many U.S. coals (particularly high-sulfur coals).
• Used by: Cement Industry, Paper & Pulp Industry, Electric Utilities.

Carbon Footprint - Carbon Footprint is a measurement of all greenhouse gases we produce of carbon dioxide equivalent. In order to reduce our Carbon Footprint, we need to:

• Maximize tread life and casing life;
• Reuse tires and casings – Retread and Repair;
• Recycle tires into new products;
• Re-use tires, such as TDFs.
